Remarks On My Judge Dee Novels

In december 1966 in Tokio Robert van Gulik wrote a description of how the Judge Dee novels were created. As always he wrote in English and called it Remarks On My Judge Dee Novels. Later, those remarks were included in the bibliography of Van Gulik by A.M. Evers of the University of Boston.

The version presented here is as faithful as possible to the original, including typing errors, inconsistent use of spaces, mistakes, and so on. Thus it differs in a number of places from the version in the bibliography that was edited (not always correctly). The order is that in which the novels were written, which is not the order in which they were published.
